In March of 2008, following our performance for the Tofino Winter Music Series at the Clayoquot Sound Community Theatre, Tom Petrowitz and Ann Turner, two
Ucluelet residents, musicians and music aficionados, came backstage to invite us
to perform in Ucluelet and within what seemed like a few minutes the idea to host
a summer chamber music festival in Ucluelet was conceived. Five months later,
the first season of the CoralWind Chamber Music Festival was born. The rest, as they say is history.

Now in our second season, we are thrilled to be returning to Ucluelet and to travel up the road to Tofino as well. Once again, the calibre of our artists, some returning and some new, is world-class. We are certain that the programmes will evoke, entice and entertain our audiences with an array of chamber music that is truly breathtaking in its scope. We hope to provide you with a soundscape that will become an integral part of your summer memories of this extraordinary part of the world.
